Position Overview

Local commercial lawn equipment dealership seeking an honest hardworking technician to join their family orientated team. This position will require the repair of hand-held 2 stroke equipment (e.g. chainsaws, weed trimmers) as well as a back-up and assist for our other 4 stroke technicians (riding product, walk-power mowers, snowblowers, generators).

Responsibilities

• General knowledge and some experience diagnosing and repairing 2 and 4 stroke engines. We will provide supplemental training to adapt that ability to our environment.
• Some knowledge of testing equipment – multimeters, pressure and compression testers, spark testers.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient communication.
• Sharpening of chain saw blades, lawn mower blades – will train if necessary
• Some computer literacy. Our records and parts lookup are computer based.
• Organizational skills
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 years mechanical experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships.
• Ability to learn from fellow team members.
• Capable of lifting up to 60lbs
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic hand tools and tool box

Job Type:

Full-time

40-hours per week year-round with overtime during peak times

Pay Range: Commensurate with ability, experience.
